Go2

Go2 is a universal bookmark manager, a place to store connection information for anything you need fast and reliable access to.

With support for SSH logins, FTP favourites, launching RDP or VNC sessions and plain old web addresses, Go2 is a one-stop-shop for launching or accessing (almost) anything that has a URL.

The interface will be familiar to anyone who’s used a launcher like Alfred or Quicksilver—invoke Go2 with command key combo, type to search, and whack another key to select:

Managing your bookmarks is a similarly simple affair:

And, for those with a long list of logins, you can import from (and export to) a plain text file.

Go2 is already a nicely-polished app, but there are a few features I’d like to see in future versions:

  • Custom applications (eg. iTerm in place of Terminal).
  • Custom shortcuts for individual bookmarks.
  • Sending commands when connecting to a server with SSH (I almost always want to tmux attach).
  • The option to hit instead of + 1 when Go2 has winnowed your search down to a single result.

Those are minor quibbles, though: if you deal with remote machines, Go2 will save you time, and look good doing it.
